Prefer to stick with one favourite? We also offer larger-format fragrance oil refills, so you can keep the included 20 mL bottle and refill it as needed.
This gives you two ways to use your diffuser: keep multiple 15 mL bottles on hand for quick scent changes, or refill the 20 mL bottle from a larger fragrance oil size for everyday use.
HOW IT WORKS
The diffuser operates intermittently rather than releasing fragrance continuously. This allows scent to build gradually within the vehicle while helping conserve both fragrance oil and battery life.

3 seconds of diffusion + 177 seconds paused
Best for smaller vehicles, lighter fragrances or anyone who prefers scent to remain subtle.
MEDIUM
8 seconds of diffusion + 172 seconds paused
Our everyday setting for a noticeable but balanced fragrance presence.
HIGH
15 seconds of diffusion + 165 seconds paused
For larger vehicles, stronger scent preferences or when you want fragrance to build more quickly.
Because fragrance strength is personal—and every fragrance behaves differently—we recommend beginning on the lowest setting and increasing the intensity if needed.
TIMER SETTINGS
Choose the operating time that works for you:
1 Hour — automatically shuts off after one hour
2 Hours — automatically shuts off after two hours
3 Hours — automatically shuts off after three hours
The combination of timer and intensity controls allows you to adjust the diffuser depending on your vehicle, fragrance and personal scent preference.
HOW TO USE
- Ensure your diffuser is charged before first use.
- Open the diffuser and remove the internal oil bottle.
- Add your SoHum Diffuser Oil without exceeding the bottle capacity.
- Secure the bottle back into the diffuser.
- Keep the diffuser upright and place it securely in your vehicle’s cup holder.
- Turn the diffuser on.
- Select your preferred scent intensity.
- Select your desired timer setting.
- Allow a few minutes for the fragrance to begin circulating through your vehicle.
For your first use with a new fragrance, we recommend starting on LOW. You can always increase the output after the scent has had time to disperse.
RECHARGING
The diffuser contains a built-in rechargeable battery and charges using USB-C.
Once charged, unplug the diffuser and use it completely cordless inside your vehicle.
Battery life will vary depending on how you use the diffuser. Lower intermittent settings will generally provide considerably longer operating time than higher or continuous settings.
The comparable unit is rated for up to approximately 48 hours of runtime under appropriate operating conditions.

WHAT TO USE IN YOUR DIFFUSER
For best performance, we recommend using SoHum Diffuser Oils or fragrance oils specifically formulated for waterless scent diffusion.
Do not add water.
Avoid using carrier oils or unusually thick oils, as they may interfere with the atomization system.
If changing fragrances, we recommend cleaning the oil bottle and diffusion components before adding a significantly different scent.
A NOTE ABOUT SCENT STRENGTH
Scent perception is highly individual.
The size of your vehicle, temperature, airflow, fragrance composition and selected diffusion level can all affect how strongly you experience the fragrance.
A woody or amber fragrance may behave differently from something citrus-forward or floral.
Start low. Give the scent time to circulate. Adjust from there.
The goal isn’t for your car to smell overwhelmingly fragranced.
It should simply smell like you chose how it feels.

Does the diffuser need water?
No. This is a waterless diffuser. Fragrance oil is dispersed directly into the air without being mixed with water.
Does it have to stay plugged in while I use it?
No. Once charged, the diffuser operates cordlessly using its built-in rechargeable battery.

How long does the battery last?
Runtime depends heavily on the mist level and timer setting selected. The reference model is rated for up to approximately 48 hours of operation under appropriate usage conditions.
Will it fit every cup holder?
It has an approximately 72mm / 2.83” diameter and is designed to fit most standard vehicle cup holders. Vehicle cup holders vary, so we recommend measuring yours before ordering.
Can I control how strong the scent is?
Yes. There are three intermittent fragrance levels so you can adjust the amount of scent released.
Does it run constantly?
The fragrance output itself is intermittent. Depending on the level selected, the diffuser releases fragrance for a set period and then pauses before releasing fragrance again.
You can separately select how long the diffuser remains operating: 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours.
How much fragrance oil does the diffuser hold?
Each diffuser comes with a 20 mL refillable fragrance bottle that screws directly into the unit.
Can I change scents?
Yes. Our 15 mL fragrance oil bottles are compatible with the diffuser and screw directly into the unit, so you can easily switch scents by removing one bottle and replacing it with another. This means you don’t need to empty or clean the included 20 mL bottle every time you want a different fragrance.
Can I refill the 20 mL bottle?
Yes. The included 20 mL bottle is refillable. We also offer larger-format fragrance oils, which can be used to replenish the bottle whenever it runs low.
Do I have to use the bottle that comes with the diffuser?
No. You can use the included 20 mL bottle and refill it, or screw one of our compatible 15 mL fragrance oil bottles directly into the diffuser.
What is the easiest way to use multiple scents?
If you like changing fragrances regularly, we recommend keeping each scent in its own 15 mL bottle. Simply unscrew one and replace it with another whenever you want to change the scent in your car.
Can I use it somewhere other than my car?
Yes. Because it is rechargeable and cordless, it can also be used in smaller spaces such as an office, bathroom, bedroom or hotel room.
